Biographie / Biography:

Professeur certifiée de l'Académie de Musique de Montréal depuis 2008.

B.A. Concordia University: Communications - Sound Production

- DJ / Turntablist & Sound Production: Beginners – Advanced
- Piano: Beginner - Intermediate.

Julie has always had a love of music for as long as she could remember. Instruction in classical piano performance began when she was seven years old, and continued until she was eighteen. Being an exceptional pianist, Julie can teach piano up to an intermediate level.

An internationally accomplished DJ/turntablist, Julie has performed across Canada, the U.S., Asia and Europe. She has played with hip-hop, rock, pop, jazz/soul/funk bands, and has been featured in numerous television shows, radio shows, magazine and newspaper articles, including performances at the Montreal Jazz Festival amongst others. Julie’s latest endeavour has been fusing hip-hop with the theatre milieu, touring with productions directed by actor and director Robert Lepage.

Her BA in communications (with a specialization in sound production) from Concordia University has helped her pave the way to becoming a successful music producer, and has even afforded her the opportunity to score the first season of Surprise! It’s Edible, Incredible!, a children’s cooking show on CBC. With a wealth of musicalexperience both on stage and behind the scenes, Julie has much to offer students of any age!
